This construction supervisor qualification is targeted at people who have a relevant trade qualification or equivalent technical knowledge, skills and experience in a construction related trade and wish to gain the additional knowledge and skills required to supervise commercial construction related teams and work programmes.
Ākonga must be employed in the construction industry in New Zealand in a supervisory role or as a tradesperson with a level of opportunity for supervision.
Domestic applicants with English as a second language must be proficient in English language.
This programme is currently only offered to domestic students.

A Certificate in Commercial Construction Supervisor typically takes 12 months, or about 45 teaching weeks to complete.
The commercial construction course is broken down into 15 hours a week. Each week this works out to 10 hours of work that you’re already doing onsite, and five hours online.
